A Double-blind, Randomized, Placebo-controlled, Multicenter Study Assessing Olpasiran Use to Prevent First Major Cardiovascular Events in Participants with Elevated Lipoprotein(a)

This research study is testing whether an investigational medication called olpasiran can help prevent serious heart and blood vessel problems, such as a heart attack or stroke, in people who have high levels of a substance in their blood called lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), and who are at increased risk of having a cardiac event.

Sex: Male or Female
Age: 18 years and over
Healthy Volunteers:
This study is NOT accepting healthy volunteers
Inclusion Criteria:

• Age 50 or greater
• Lp(a) greater than or equal to 200 nmol/L
Exclusion Criteria:

• Prior arterial revascularization
• Severe kidney dysfunction
• Severe liver dysfunction
Interventions:

Drug/Device: Olpasiran (AMG 890)

Conditions:

Elevated Lipoprotein(a), at risk for first cardiovascular event
